These accumulated skills and expertise have allowed George Kent to develop into one of the leading full service water supply infrastructure companies in Malaysia. It has extensive knowledge and experience in project development, project management, construction of civil and structural works, engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical works for water supply infrastructure projects. In Malaysia, George Kent’s Contract – Projects Section has successfully completed over 26 major water supply contracts in the past 20 years. These projects are of a varied nature, ranging from construction and rehabilitation, operation and maintenance of treatment plants; laying of pipelines, etc. The company is also a specialist in turnkey construction of major water supply projects. Following are several of these projects highlights: 

• In Thailand, George Kent successfully completed a major distribution pumping station project  for the Bangkok Metropolitan Waterworks Authority in 1998.

• Sungai Selangor Water Supply Scheme Phase 3 : Rasa Headworks and Bulk Transfer Works (Production capacity : 250,000 m3/day [55 mgd] )
  
  
• Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Sg Linggi Water Treatment Plant
  (Production capacity: 130,000 m3/day [28.6 mgd] )

• Teluk Bahang Water Supply Project : Batu Ferringhi Water Treatment Works
  (Production capacity: 118,000 m3/day [25 mgd] )

Industry Awards

The accolades we have received are the perfect testament to our technical excellence, superior leadership and quality delivery. They affirm our status as a leader in our industry, capable of meeting the highest challenges and delivering projects on schedule as per our customers’ requirements.

In 1995, George Kent received the "Best Contractor of the Year" award from the Water Supply Department of Negeri Sembilan for outstanding performance and successful completion of the New Gemas Water Supply Project.

In 2002, George Kent received the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia 2002 Award for Best Mechanical and Electrical Contractor. This award was earned based on the work completed for the implementation of the 250,000 m3/day Rasa Treatment Plant of the Sungai Selangor Water Supply Phase 3 Project.
