FRP Water Storage Tanks

George Kent is a pioneer in providing the most effective potable water storage system in Malaysia and have supplied more than 3,000 FRP panel sectional water storage tank systems in Malaysia and Brunei. Constructed using Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP) panels, also known as Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) panels, our water storage tank solutions are safe, durable, practical, flexible and cost-efficient. These water containment units come can be configured to different dimensions such as 1m × 1m, 0.5m × 1.0m, 1.0m × 1.5m, 1.0m × 2.0m, 0.5m × 0.5m and so on and holding capacity ranges from 220 to 500,000 gallons with maximum height of 4m.

The manufacturing facility for these FRP water tanks have been certified to comply with ISO 9001:2000 standards with a SIRIM QAS Product Certification Licence SS 245:1995. These tanks are engineered to strict quality control, based on extensive research and development and produced under proven manufacturing practices with close attention given to raw material selection and formulation.

In Malaysia the largest tank installed todate measures 35m × 35m × 3m high with a capacity of 808,500 gallons is in Gurun, Kedah. Malaysia. Some of the advantages of the FRP water tank system include:

  • Special color pigment that prevents UV light penetration and algae formation.
  • Anti-earthquake up to grade 5 on the Richter scaled
  • FRP panels do not rust or corrode.
  • Robust construction and water-tight.
  • Light-weight and ease of handling and transport.
  • Easy and fast installation and pleasant appearance.
  • Minimum maintenance.
  • Flexible design to meet different configurations and capacities.
  • Tanks can be partitioned for ease of maintenance or to allow separate functions, such as potable water storage, cooling tower or fire fighting applications.
