Throughout the whole manufacturing process, from selection of vendors right to the training of our staffs and delivery of finished goods and after-sales service we adhere strictly to the SOP's in compliance to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO14001.
Design
Our technical staffs who are highly skilled and experienced would continually do research and development and provide GKM's customers with unfailing support in partnership to develop new designs or continuous improvements and reengineering of the parts towards optimizing costs, while adhering to the required technical and functional features.
Basing on the customer's requirements or technical specifications (draft drawings, CAD 2D drawings, CAD 3D models or samples) and if the design is feasible, our R & D and Engineering departments will build on their expertise and CAS 3D design technology to carry out three-dimensional modelling of the product, tools and dies and simulat the manufacturing process to ascertain and remove any faults that might occur during mass production, thereby pre-empting wastages.
Quality
Our well-trained technicians are entrusted by the management to continually strive in enhancing the quality deliverables with the keep working for improvement in their everyday work. George Kent believes that quality is not static, but a continuous evolving process ... a never-ending transformation... never stopping mission and a continuing challenge.
Tools and dies manufacturing
When a product design is approved, the tools and dies for production will be fabricated by our proven, reliable and precision tool-makers. The tools and dies are fabricated using CNC machines using sophisticated CAD/CAM software to transfer information from the design to the manufacturing stage. Our tools and dies is able to fulfill the customers' “Time to Market” requirement.
Hot-forging
George Kent currently has a hot-forging facility comprising 17 presses with ratings from 100 tons up to 400 tons. It also has five brass-rod sawing machines, several deflashing and forming equipments and four shot-blasting machines. The machineries are being constantly upgraded and new machines are added in from time to time to support growing business needs.
Machining
George Kent has a machine-shop with multi-spindle machines and 13 CNC machines. These equipments are able to do machining to meet the standards required by brass parts products for the water and related industries. Also available are other equipments for tapping and drilling.
Assembly
George Kent production team is highly-skilled in product assembly. They are able to assemble all types of brass-related products.
Testing
George Kent has a testing facility with the capability to perform functional testing for brass parts for the water industry. The testing team performs flowrates tests for various types of water meters as well as pressure-testing of brass parts. The test benches are designed for testing of water meters of many sizes.
Metrology
For in-process inspection, George Kent has a metrological laboratory equipped with digital precision measuring and monitoring instruments that control surfaces and dimensions with great accuracy, therefore guaranteeing high-quality standards even for the most-complexed parts and documenting the measurements and inspection results according to the customer's standard.
George Kent can also perform a wide-range of tests and technological trials through a network of qualified, accredited external laboratories.
Logistics
George Kent takes great care on customer's logistic requirements in ensuring that the goods are packed in the most appropriate way to suit delivery means.
